Brooklyn, New York
Festival screening at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), New York, June 5–14, 2009. An unprecedented ten-day festival of Muslim arts and ideas — films, performances, exhibitions, talks, video installations, Arabic hip-hop, Sufi chanting — from the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The Frontier Gandhi was one of ten films selected from around the world and showcased at the festival. The sold-out screening was followed by a discussion with the director/producer Teri McLuhan and the film's music composer David Amram, and moderated by international festival director Peter Scarlet.

Toronto, Canada
International Diaspora Film Festival. Official Selection. The Frontier Gandhi was the sold-out Opening Night film of the festival, November 9, 2009. Q & A with the filmmaker followed the screening. A rocking concert "At Home Around the World/A Musical Mosaic" by the film's composer David Amram took place at The Revival the day before.

Kabul, Afghanistan
The Afghanistan premiere, January 20, 2010, of The Frontier Gandhi, at Radio Television Afghanistan auditorium was sponsored by the Regional Studies Centre of Afghanistan and the Embassy of Canada in Afghanistan. 400 dignitaries, officials, ambassadors, women and youth attended the invitation-only event. Q & A with the filmmaker in English and Pashto followed. Despite multiple suicide bombings two days prior to the screening and formidable security, the event had lines around the block. The following evening, a dinner at the Canadian Embassy's Official Residence, hosted by the deputy head of the mission, honored director/producer Teri McLuhan.

Santa Monica, California
A special event screening in Santa Monica, California, May 8, 2010 of The Frontier Gandhi at the Laemmle Santa Monica Theater. Sponsored by Common Peace: The Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence. The Center was started by the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and the family of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. to assist in the promotion of their respective teachings. A lively discussion with the director/producer followed the screening.
